  1. Number 2 is a section of “Forever in my Life” performed by Prince and his 1988 Lovesxy touring band (minus Eric Leeds) as recorded at the Dark Horse Club in Holland. The full recording of this show is often referred to as “Small Club Late Nite” and is one of the holy grails of Prince bootleg recordings, due to it’s soundboard quality, amazing setlist (2 hours +) and immortal playing by Mr Nelson and his band. A quick look around the web is all it takes to find it. If you are in any way a fan of Prince, this is as essential to hear as any album the man ever made.

It came as a shock to hear this in Kenny Dixon’s set, but it just demonstrates how eclectic the man is!

  2. Track 5 is Parliament – The Motor Booty Affair

  3. @mizurk — Great spotting! Definitely going to check out the recording.

  4. As my displayed times differ from those of the yet playlist:

    [073:57] – Kenny Dixon Jr. – Lt 1 (re-edit of Oliver Sain’s “B-OO-G-IE)
[077.20] – Larry Page Orchestra – Erotic Soul (Edit, probably by KDJ himself)

    right before
    [081:54] – Nina Simone – >See Line Woman

  5. Oh man I worked at this night but I cant remember a thing about it. Thanks for sharing.

i do have some problems to find it. is it due to prince’s heavy restrictions for illegal distribution of his music on the net? in a way feel not good for that. i was a fan since 1984 (of course) went to several concerts of him, and yes he’s magic live. but spent really much of money there and a listenable memory of that would just be … justice?
    best
